About The Position

The Clinical Pastoral Education Program Manager is responsible for organizing and managing the accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program at St. Vincent Healthcare. This role involves conducting education under ACPE curriculum, recruiting and supervising students, providing educational opportunities, and ensuring program accreditation. The manager collaborates with Mission Services leaders and engages with regional and national ACPE entities to maintain standards and certification. The position emphasizes student-centered learning and requires effective communication and leadership skills.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, or a closely related area from a CHEA accredited institution.
• A minimum of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
• At least one unit of ACPE Certified Educator CPE.
• Minimum of 5 years of spiritual care experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in chaplain leadership.
• ACPE Certified Educator or ACPE Certified Educator Candidate, Phase 2 required within 2 years.

• Current board certification as a chaplain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage the Clinical Pastoral Education program under ACPE accreditation.
• Recruit students and supervise their clinical experiences.
• Provide educational opportunities and evaluate students' performance.
• Coordinate admissions interviews and communicate decisions to applicants.
• Design and implement a curriculum focused on student-centered learning.
• Facilitate meetings of the Professional Advisory Committee to maintain program standards.
• Collaborate with the Manager of Spiritual Care to provide spiritual care coverage.
• Manage the program's budget and present annual reports to leadership.
