JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of Director of Nursing and the Director of Quality and Safety, the Clinical Operations Resource Nurse a Registered Nurse (RN) with previous clinical care experience in an ambulatory setting or hospital and is responsible for orientation, mentoring and evaluation of support staff members of clinical staff in primary and specialty care within HHC MG. Evaluation and education of skill performance and competency, knowledge validation and documentation of clinical practice in order to meet standards of practice in clinical care. Travel to HHC MG sites is necessary to complete role successfully. Duties include educating staff in reviewing standards of clinical care, workflows, reviewing documentation strategies in EPIC, and teaching CPR classes. Administrative duties include but are not limited to participation in committees, projects as assigned, clinical policy development, standard work development, scheduling of education and on-boarding of staff. Leadership is demonstrated by role modeling best practice in clinical care and environment of care arenas. Clinical Operations Resource Nurses will also serve as resources for their LPN team members and collaborate in RN staff evaluation at sites where an LPN is the lead. Also leads work in development of new programs/service development to ensure a safe, productive and supportive clinical team environment. Clinical Operations Resource Nurses collaborate with Managers in offices to observe and evaluate challenges in delivering best practice in care and, problem solve with site Managers to introduce solutions for success. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited registered nurse program
  • At least 2 years of providing patient care in an ambulatory care setting with demonstrated experience in skill review and employee mentoring or, 3 years of inpatient care with like/equivalent resource and education experience.
  • Active CT Registered Nurse license, CPR certification

Responsibilities
