What We’re Looking For: The Field Respiratory Lead is an exempt, field-based clinical leadership role responsible for supporting Area Managers by ensuring clinical competency, training compliance, and high-quality respiratory care delivery within the Respiratory Therapist (RT) population in their respective region. The Field Respiratory Lead provides peer coaching, clinical training, quality review oversight, and acts as a clinical resource within the assigned territory, in addition to performing standard Respiratory Therapist duties, as needed. The Field Respiratory Lead maintains a dotted-line relationship to the Director of Clinical for alignment on enterprise-wide clinical initiatives, telehealth support, clinical training standards, workflow optimization, and best practice implementation. This role requires independent judgment, advanced clinical expertise, and leadership accountability while maintaining compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and company standards. What You’ll Do: Clinical Leadership, Training & Initiatives Provides clinical leadership and subject matter expertise to support Area Managers in maintaining respiratory therapy competency, quality, and compliance across assigned field teams. Maintains a dotted-line relationship with the Director of Clinical to support enterprise-wide clinical initiatives, telehealth programs, training strategies, workflow optimization, and standardization of best practices. Leads and evaluates respiratory therapy competency assessments and clinical validations in accordance with established standards. Oversees and deploys RT2/Trainers to support continuous clinical education, evolving clinical processes, and new hire onboarding, ensuring alignment with current clinical practices. Conducts bi-weekly RT2 Huddles to align on initiatives and relay frontline feedback to leadership Conducts and evaluates weekly quality “check and balance” reviews; analyzes findings, exercises independent clinical judgment, and provides coaching and recommendations to peers, Area Managers, and Clinical Leadership. Designs, delivers, and evaluates clinical training programs for internal staff and external partners, including onboarding, advanced clinical education, telehealth workflows, and product utilization. Participates in enterprise and regional clinical initiatives, pilots, and process improvement efforts by providing clinical insight, evaluation, and recommendations. Serves as a clinical resource and advisor for telehealth support, workflow design, troubleshooting, and field implementation. Patient Care & Clinical Services Applies advanced clinical expertise to review and evaluate physician orders for respiratory equipment and services to ensure appropriateness, accuracy, and compliance. Reviews and validates required clinical documentation, authorizations, and supporting information to support accurate clinical decision-making. Performs comprehensive patient assessments and exercises independent clinical judgment to determine appropriate respiratory therapies, equipment, and Plans of Care. Collaborates with patients, caregivers, and family members to develop, adjust, and educate on individualized Plans of Care. Provides clinical instruction and education to patients and caregivers regarding respiratory therapies and equipment, ensuring adherence to prescribed care plans and safety standards. Communicates clinically significant changes in patient condition or therapy needs to physicians and care teams and recommends Plan of Care modifications as appropriate. Oversees and completes clinical documentation, including assessments and Plans of Care/Treatment, to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and continuity of care. Conducts or oversees follow-up evaluations as clinically indicated to assess outcomes and ensure continuity of care. Equipment, Telehealth & Operational Support Serves as an active contributor to clinical purchasing evaluations, including new product reviews, equipment testing, and strategic replacement recommendations. Provides clinical oversight for the setup and functioning of respiratory and respiratory-related equipment; may perform hands-on support as clinically necessary to ensure patient safety and care quality. Provides clinical education and in-services to the marketing department and internal teams to support clinical understanding and alignment. Participates in a scheduled on-call rotation to provide clinical consultation and decision-making support for respiratory and telehealth patient needs. Supports and evaluates telehealth clinical workflows, virtual patient assessments, and remote troubleshooting initiatives in collaboration with Clinical Leadership. Professional, Regulatory & Organizational Responsibilities Conducts routine and "as-needed" performance and compliance audits to ensure the organization is maintaining strict adherence to clinical policy and procedures. Serves as a clinical liaison between SuperCare Health, patients, caregivers, physicians, and referral sources, ensuring alignment with clinical standards and patient needs. Maintains professional accountability for clinical assessments, recommendations, and patient outcomes. Remains current on respiratory products, clinical guidelines, payer requirements, and insurance coverage trends to inform clinical decision-making. Ensures adherence to all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards, including Joint Commission requirements. Complies with all SuperCare Health policies and procedures. Maintains a professional, safe, and compliant work environment. Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and sound clinical judgment in all interactions. Performs additional duties consistent with professional clinical leadership as assigned by Field or Clinical Leadership. This role may be a fit if you have.. Active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in each state of practice. RRT or CRT credential required. Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a field-based or home care setting. Advanced knowledge of respiratory therapy practices, equipment, and patient care standards. Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and lead by influence. Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills. Patient-focused mindset with a genuine desire to support others.
