About The Position

The Clinical Operations Director is responsible for the strategic oversight, leadership, and day-to-day management of clinical operational functions across Open Cities Health Center's service lines. This role ensures high-quality, efficiency, and compliant delivery of patient care services, facilitates interdepartmental coordination, and drives performance improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Healthcare Administration
  • 3 years of clinical and administrative experience
  • 5 years of management experience within a hospital or healthcare center
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In depth skills in project management and leading committees.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical operations platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), or Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Certifications in Nursing Executive Leadership; Certified Nurse Educator, and Informatics Nursing Certification can enhance a candidate's qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that enhance clinical service delivery, access, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to plan and implement initiatives that support growth, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement.

  • Oversee daily operations of clinical departments, including staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and service line development.
  • Monitor and improve key operational metrics such as patient throughput, provider productivity, and clinic efficiency.
  • Implement standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality care delivery across all sites or programs.
  • Ensure clinical operational practices are in compliance with all applicable laws, accreditation standards (e.g., HRSA, OSHA), and payer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Risk Management, and Compliance departments on audits, incident reviews, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Informatics Officer and the Information Technology Officer to leverage health IT systems (e.g., EHR, scheduling platforms, RPM tools) to streamline workflows and support care coordination.
  • Support digital health initiatives such as telehealth, remote monitoring, and patient engagement platforms.
