Incumbent applies advanced knowledge of business intelligence practices to lead complex projects requiring advanced analytics to support operational efficiencies and strategic planning. Resolves highly complex problems requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors. Incumbent leads cross-functional teams to address complex business or system issues. Initiates, designs, or modifies highly complex systems data solutions and procedures where standardized policies or procedures may or may not exist. Promotes analytic initiatives including leveraging data systems to build enterprise KPI’s that measure quality, financial, and operational benefits; research, explore, and/or create opportunities around data optimization for Clinical Support Services; establish accountability and performance management processes to sustain change within areas and/or other areas indicated by the Director.

  • Strong project management skills including the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions
  • Self-motivated and works independently on projects, from conception to completion and able to meet deadlines
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with healthcare operations data
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with data visualization
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business intelligence tools
  • Experience working with senior / executive management stakeholders
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and possess the ability to design, set up and manage internal processes and protocols
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner. Ability to produce and deliver presentations to diverse audiences
  • Advanced knowledge of business and data process analysis functions
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve independently and/or collaboratively as the situation dictates
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to be forward thinking and anticipate problems and solutions
  • Understanding and experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Thorough understanding of the Epic EHR system.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast paced environment
  • Master’s degree in MHA or MBA
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
