Successful candidate will support the Food and Nutrition department at Hospital for Special Surgery by providing comprehensive nutrition and collaborative food service care to meet our patients’ needs.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal, clinical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent customer service and ability to communicate with all team members to resolve problems.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, manage heavy workload. with good time management skills.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD)
- Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) in NYS
- Pediatric experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Epic and CBORD (Foodservice Suite)
- Masters degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide nutrition therapy to adult and pediatric inpatients according to medical condition and nutrition needs
- Develop treatment plan to promote wound healing after surgery and maintain nutrition status.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and communications.
- Provide nutrition education and counseling.
