About The Position

The Clinical Nutrition Specialist Lead requires a highly experienced dietitian with advanced specialty certification. This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive nutrition assessment, intervention, and care management for patients across Tampa General Hospital. It functions in strong support of Clinical Nutrition Manager (CNM) initiatives and utilizes clinical expertise and resources to support interdepartmental program design and engagement of interprofessional team involvement. The Lead ensures that nutritional care is evidence-based, timely, and aligned with departmental standards of practice and regulatory organizational standards. In addition to providing direct patient care, the Lead supports departmental quality improvement initiatives, conducts research and/or literature reviews to enhance practice standards, participates in staff development activities, and collaborates with leadership on operational functions such as scheduling, onboarding, and peer review. The Lead also represents Clinical Nutrition on selected hospital committees, contributes to optimization of electronic systems, and supports special projects under the direction of the Clinical Nutrition leadership team. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree- Food & Nutrition and or Master's Degree- Dietetics
  • License/Registration- Registered Dietitian (Issued by Florida or Compact State)
  • Three (3) years of Dietician experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in leadership
  • Advanced specialty certification

Responsibilities
