About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position at Huntington Hospital, a 620-bed acute hospital located in Pasadena , CA. This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus! Sodexo Offers: Twenty-three vacation days after 12 months! 18 vacation days for first 12 months Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees, certifications, and CDR renewal Money toward continuing education events Up to $5,000 tuition reimbursement annually Incentives sign on bonus What You'll Do Maintain responsibility for managing staff and providing leadership for the Clinical Nutrition program and client Oversee care of the general inpatient and outpatient patients and programs Supervise, train and mentor a large team of Registered Dietitians and the diet office staff Precept Clinical Dietetic Interns Serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team Assist in food service management as needed Meet DOH/state/federal and company standard Manage the dietetic interns What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credentials with prior management and direct acute care clinical experience
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple priorities
  • Strong leadership style with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The skills to creatively solve problems, work well with minimal supervision, and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an active commitment to enhancing the patient’s experience
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Minimum Management Experience: 6 years experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timeframes within the overall policy framework
  • Minimum Functional Experience: 5 years as experienced specialized practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to specialists.
