About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Nutrition Manager for Howard University Hospital, a Level-1 trauma hospital center which provides top-tier inpatient and outpatient health care services in the Washington DC area. Start with 3 weeks’ vacation and 3 personal days per calendar year! Reimbursement for Academy dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewal! Up to $5000 tuition reimbursement annually! What You'll Do The successful candidate will: Manage and lead the clinical nutrition program at the hospital and oversee dietitians Foster a culture of precepting and mentoring dietetic students that promote career growth and professional development Union experience preferred Pro-actively seek out and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders Drive Nutrition Department Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects Provide nutrition care to a variety of patient units as needed What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Requirements

  • Have prior acute care experience and demonstrate great clinical knowledge base
  • Have proven supervisory or management experience to enhance clinical program growth
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills
  • Have experience with regulatory accreditation, regulatory readiness and review, and establishing and maintaining standards of care
  • Be Registered Dietitian and Licensure in DC required prior to starting position
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.
  • 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
