About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to work as a Clinical Nutrition Manager 2 for St. David's Heart Hospital of Austin, TX. A 72-bed facility, Hearth Hospital is one of the highest-performing cardiovascular facilities in the nation, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. It features a comprehensive 24-hour emergency department; an advanced Executive Wellness Program; an Advanced Heart Failure Program, including two key therapies—extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and left ventricular assist device (LVAD). Requirements

  • Licensed in Texas
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire
  • In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
  • Minimum Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes
  • Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners

Responsibilities

  • Lead the clinical nutrition program toward maintained excellence
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are in place and maintained in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as Sodexo and client needs
  • Foster a culture of learning that promotes career growth and professional development
  • Proactively seek out and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including hospital leaders and physicians
  • Drive performance improvement and quality management projects as needed
  • Provide nutrition care to a variety of inpatients or outpatients as needed, including the Executive Wellness Program
  • Precept dietetic interns and oversee clinical rotations, as needed
