About The Position

We are currently hiring a full time Food Service Worker for Dietary and Food Services at Fremont Hospital! The Dietary Clinical Manager provides continuing liaison with medical and nursing staffs, advice to the administrator, patient counseling, guidance to the staff of the dietetic service, coordination of approval of all menus and participation in development or revision of dietetic policies and procedures and in planning and conducting in-service education programs. As a Registered Dietitian, the Dietary Clinical Manager also works with the interdisciplinary health care team to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with the patient’s medical program goals and objectives. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines; managing resources in a cost-effective manner; participating in hospital performance improvement efforts; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in dietetics, food and/or nutrition related field required.
  • Completion of all academic and supervised practice requirements as set forth by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Minimum five (5) years of food service management experience preferably in a healthcare facility.
  • Minimum three (3) years in a management/supervisory role.
  • Thorough knowledge of JC/CMS, OSHA, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Registered Dietitian or eligible for registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
  • Certification/Licensure as required by state of practice.
  • Type 35+ WPM.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn specialized food planning and patient care software (Blue Print, Bed Board).
