The Service Line Clinical Educator (CE) is a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) practitioner who functions as both a specialist in their clinical service line (e.g., Critical Care, Emergency Services, Perioperative, Med-Surg, Women's/Children's, etc.) and a generalist educator for the system. Grounded in the ANPD Practice Model and adult learning principles, the CE is accountable for advancing clinical competence, supporting evidence-based practice, and fostering professional development. This role is essential in delivering system-aligned education that prepares our workforce to provide safe, high-quality, evidence-based care. The CE ensures that education and competency programs are aligned with ANPD domains of practice, organizational priorities, and specialty-specific standards. Responsible for service line orientation and professional development, initial and annual competencies, education/development for new and current clinical associates. The role collaborates with nursing leadership, preceptors, and other departments to achieve quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and workforce readiness.
