About The Position

We are looking for talented nurses to join MSK's Emergency Center! The Emergency Center provides emergent and comprehensive patient-centered care to MSKCC’S patients, families, and staff 24 hours, 7 days a week. Patients are triaged/evaluated, and a decision is made to admit, discharge, or place a patient in observation status in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU). Implement the nursing process for medical and surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions in our Urgent Care Center. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care. Provide outstanding patient-centered care to our patients and unregistered patients. Deliver care to employees who are injured on the premises.

Requirements

• NYS RN license and BSN
• A minimum of 1.5-2 years of clinical medical/surgical experience required.
• Critical care/ Emergency Department and/or medical oncology experience highly preferred
• May consider New Graduate RNs with a preceptorship or externship in a critical care area.
• Willing to take action and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
• A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that maintain high standards of nursing care within the organization.
