About The Position

The Cottage Senior Living is seeking a Registered Nurse to fulfill the duties of a Clinical Nurse Supervisor in an Assisted Living setting. This full-time position involves a wide range of responsibilities including advocating for residents, organizing and completing admission and discharge assessments, supervising and auditing daily charting, and ensuring proper medication administration procedures. The supervisor will also be responsible for providing health and medication training to new and existing staff to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations. Additional duties include assisting with marketing, organizing community events, providing tours to potential residents, documenting grievances, and maintaining professional relationships with various stakeholders. The role requires working effectively with minimal supervision and mentoring staff, and involves on-call duties 24/7, as well as working weekends and holidays as needed.

Requirements

  • Current MN License as an RN
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead a group of people in completing tasks.
  • Knowledge of nursing assessments, resident care plans, and state assisted living regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families to explain medical needs/changes related to resident's care.
  • Ability to work on a team with other staff members.
  • Meet the physical job demands of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in long-term care or assisted living settings is favored.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the proper services to be provided for each resident based on their unique circumstances.
  • Organize and complete all admission and discharge assessments, supervise and/or complete other resident assessments as needed.
  • Observe and audit daily charting.
  • Assure medication administration procedures are followed properly and discusses any needed corrections, errors, etc., with staff.
  • Provide health and medication training to all new employees as well as continued education for all staff and documents such training to assure compliance with state, federal and local regulations.
  • Complete marketing duties in in coordination with the Assisted Living Manager.
  • Help organize and host community events such as family picnics, special entertainment for the residents, parties, community coffee, etc.
  • Provide tours to potential residents and their families.
  • Document and report any grievances.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain professional relationships with staff, residents, family members, community guests, physicians, clinics, social workers, etc.
  • Monitor employees to insure proper documentation; mentor staff as needed and if necessary notify the Assistant Living Manager of any delinquencies.
