About The Position
Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) – Dermatology, Ambulatory Care The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) works collaboratively to improve the quality of patient care and promote desired patient outcomes in a designated population/specialty practice. The CNS functions as a leader within the three spheres of influence (patient/client, nurses and nursing practice, and organization/system), and is an active participant in the nursing leadership team. This Clinical Nurse Specialist role supports the Dermatology Ambulatory Practice at Mayo Clinic Hospital–Rochester, located in the Gonda Building. The CNS provides expert clinical consultation and leadership to advance evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient-centered care in the outpatient dermatology setting. Working in close collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and operational leaders, the CNS supports care model development, clinical practice optimization, and professional nursing practice aligned with institutional priorities. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
