About The Position

To provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families. This position involves working night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with a requirement of 12-hour shifts and every other weekend. The role is full-time and requires a California Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Requirements

• Graduate of nursing school.
• 1 year of clinical experience (RNs with less than 12 months experience will complete new grad requirements).
• California Registered Nurse (RN) license - REQUIRED.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

• Baccalaureate Nursing degree.
• Chemotherapy and Biotherapy administration in-hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families.
• Utilize systematic planning and timely exchange of information with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple patient needs and aspects of care.
• Communicate effectively with the care team to plan patient care.
• Utilize available resources to problem-solve and determine effective approaches to action.
• Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking to provide individualized patient care.
• Continuously evaluate interventions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and team members to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Act as a preceptor/teacher for other nurses.
• Document patient care according to department guidelines.
