Clinical Nurse Manager - Cardiac Intermediate Care, Pavilion 9
About The Position
The Clinical Nurse Manager will provide the knowledge, skill, and expertise necessary to successfully support the day to day operations of the clinical unit. Pavilion 9 is a 30-bed cardiac medical/surgical and cardiac intermediate unit. Pavilion 9 staff care for complex cardiac patients including cardiac surgery patients, structural heart (TAVR), cardiac catheterization/coronary angioplasty, heart failure and other various cardiac processes. The Pavilion 9 nurses receive specialized training to care for our cardiac surgery populations
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting, with 1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Graduate from an NLN accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's in Nursing Required, Masters preferred or in progress within 6-12 months of hire
- NJ-RN: Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS & ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- CNL or AACN Specialty certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee assignments.
- Assist in quality and throughput goals.
- Support staff engagement by serving the unit in a consistent, supportive, and compassionate manner.
- Role model/mentor clinical staff to address patient needs effectively.
- Supports quality patient care and organizational priorities at the direction of the Clinical Director.
- Identify and support the elements of improved care quality care using HRO principles.
