Our 14 bed PreOp/PACU areas care for pre and post op surgical patients undergoing various procedure including cardiac, neuro, ortho, GYN, and much more. You will have the opportunity to identify areas requiring investigation/study related to patient care and educational techniques. Facilitate change in clinical practice as indicated or directed by applicable research/ PI findings. Monitor, evaluate and make recommendations for improving quality indicators through the establishment of evidence-based practice standards. This is a Full Time Evening Flex shift position (10 hour shifts; 4 days/wk; FLEX 12p-10p or 11a-9p depending on the needs of the unit) at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens at 56-45 Main St, Flushing, NY 11355.
Requirements
- At least two years of acute care RN experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Current New York State RN license
- BCLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Demonstrated leadership competencies
- Clinical expertise within field or specialty
- Knowledge of current health care environment
Nice To Haves
- Masters in Nursing or related field.
- If Masters in Nursing, BSN can be preferred.
