Adventist HealthCare Home Assistance is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager for our Silver Spring Territories who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Home Assistance (AHA) Clinical Nurse Manager you will: Oversees the management of some administrative and clinical staff to include, but not limited to interviewing, hiring, and performance management. Facilitate staff resources, coordination and implementation of clinical education and orientation of CNA, CMT, LPN, and RN Staff. Ensure the quality of aide services by conducting in home competency evaluations as needed and recertification visits every 45 or 90 days for active clients. Oversight and implementation of Quality and Patient Safety Initiatives. Ensures agency survey readiness and compliance with RSA/NRSA. Make home visits with the purpose of initiating Plans of Care as guidelines for the CMT/CMA-CNA in the safe and effective performance of their job duties. Defining the medication administration plan as per the physician’s orders and as guidelines for the aides in the safe and effective performance of their job duties. Cross collaboration of Home Care Services and other AHC entities and provide timely resolution to maintain positive internal and external relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required or must complete BSN within 3 years of hire.
  • Three years Medical/Surgical Nursing experience.
  • Two years home care nursing experience.
  • Two to three years office management experience
  • Valid Maryland RN licensure.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Valid Driver’s License with agency insurance requirements
  • Delegate RN with MBON within 60 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
