As the Clinical Nurse Manager you will manage patient care delivery for Labor and Delivery, serving as a clinical resource and administrator in the absence of unit leaders or when care-related issues arise. Facilitates efficient and cost effective daily operations of the unit(s) in relation to patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers. Promotes a culture of safety and quality by ensuring continuity and consistency in the implementation of established standards, protocols, policies and procedures. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, participates in the establishment of units short and long term goals and ensures its alignment with the hospital’s overall strategic goals. Accountable for monitoring staff compliance with regulatory, hospital and divisional requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current New York State RN license
  • 2+ years of acute care RN experience in Labor and Delivery
  • Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the National Certification Corporation
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
