The Clinical Nurse Manager will provide the knowledge, skill, and expertise necessary to successfully support the day to day operations of the clinical unit. Kelemen 8 is a medical-surgical unit that cares for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, illnesses and disease processes. North and South 8 have telemetry capabilities for our patients. Kelemen 8 has frequent admissions and discharges. Kelemen 8 can accept a total of 77 patients. The North side houses 37 patients, and the South side houses 36 patients. There are two negative pressure rooms with an anti-room. There is a pharmacist present on the unit to assist the RNs with medication questions/concerns. Multidisciplinary rounds occur every Monday through Friday. Rounds involve all aspects of the healthcare team, including the patient and family.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting, with 1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Graduate from an NLN accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's in Nursing Required
- NJ-RN: Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS & ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- CNL or AACN Specialty certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee assignments.
- Assist in quality and throughput goals.
- Support staff engagement by serving the unit in a consistent, supportive, and compassionate manner.
- Role model/mentor clinical staff to address patient needs effectively.
- Supports quality patient care and organizational priorities at the direction of the Clinical Director.
- Identify and support the elements of improved care quality care using HRO principles.
