Clinical Nurse Manager – Breast Center David H. Koch Center, NewYork‑Presbyterian Shape the future of breast care at one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers. NewYork‑Presbyterian is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee day‑to‑day clinical operations and staff leadership within our renowned Breast Center at the David H. Koch Center. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated nurse leader to help drive excellence in patient care, experience, and clinical practice coordination in a highly specialized outpatient setting. Role Summary The Clinical Nurse Manager serves as the on-site nursing leader, responsible for the delivery of safe, high‑quality patient care and the smooth operation of daily clinical practice activities. You will ensure efficient clinic flow, promote a culture of safety, support interdisciplinary collaboration, and guide nursing staff toward clinical and service excellence. This role partners closely with the Patient Care Director and practice leadership to support program goals, align unit‑based initiatives with organizational strategy, and uphold NYP’s standards of quality and patient experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current NYS RN license in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership competencies and strong clinical expertise.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer‑service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
  • National board certification (ANCC or equivalent).
  • Experience in breast care, oncology, ambulatory care, or women’s health (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily patient throughput, ensuring smooth transitions, timely appointments, and optimal clinic flow.
  • Monitor clinical practice standards and uphold evidence‑based protocols, safety initiatives, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives and help develop unit‑based competencies.
  • Lead, coach, and support nursing staff; oversee scheduling, staffing, and performance management.
  • Participate in hiring, orientation, training, and retention strategies for clinical staff.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative environment that promotes growth, professionalism, and shared leadership.
  • Anticipate patient needs and ensure a compassionate, patient‑centered care environment.
  • Partner with interdisciplinary teams to resolve issues, address patient concerns, and enhance satisfaction.
  • Manage budgets, staffing resources, and supply needs to support efficient clinic operations.
  • Evaluate products, equipment, and processes to ensure optimal resource utilization.
