About The Position

El Camino Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse II for their Nursery Level II. This position involves applying nursing processes and theories, along with principles from psycho-social and physical sciences, to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, evaluate, and modify patient care. The role emphasizes achieving quality outcomes and innovative practice, adhering strictly to the California Nursing Practice Act and the hospital's departmental policies. The Clinical Nurse II is responsible for the quality of nursing services provided by themselves and those under their direction, ensuring care delivery aligns with the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing. This role requires collaborative work with other disciplines to guarantee optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes, while consistently supporting service excellence and a healing environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Must have recent clinical nursing experience in area of specialty (Level II Nursery-LG)
  • Registered Nurse License - California Board of Registered Nursing
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program - American Academy of Pediatrics
  • Ability to communicate in English and to perform potentially complex speaking, reading, writing, and mathematics
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate appropriately

Responsibilities

  • Applies nursing process and theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical sciences, in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care
  • Strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies
  • Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self (or others who are under her/his direction)
  • Accountable for the delivery of care consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing
  • Provides care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes
  • Supports service excellence and a healing environment
