About The Position

The Clinical Nurse II (RN) in Diagnostic Radiology at UC Davis Health is responsible for providing comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to a diverse patient population. This role involves assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, while also directing and supporting other nursing team members. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously, demonstrating leadership and accountability in accordance with professional standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Valid California Registered Nurse License without restriction
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• At least three (3) years of recent ICU, ED, or Inpatient Radiology experience
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Knowledge of current trends in nursing
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates accountability and professionalism
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Provide total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered care.
• Assess, document, plan, implement, teach, develop, and evaluate a comprehensive nursing plan of care.
• Deliver direct patient care and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Train and delegate duties to other nursing staff.
• Adhere to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participate in patient and staff education.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and accountability for own practices.
