About The Position

The Stanford Health Care Nurse Residency Program begins on Monday, March 16, 2026. This comprehensive one-year training program is designed for highly motivated and committed new graduate nurses, providing over 350+ hours of direct clinical orientation with a trained preceptor utilizing a structured precepting model, supported with an additional 100 hours of clinical education, immersive training, and unique 'New Grad Seminar' workshops. The program emphasizes the professional nurse role, leadership, and patient outcomes, guided by Watson Caring Science Theory.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate from an accredited ADN, BSN, or MSN program.
• Official graduation transcript date between September 2024 - March 2026.
• Must have a current California RN License by no later than Friday, January 12, 2026.
• Must have no more than an accumulative 6 months of paid RN work experience (full-time).
• BLS certification and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
