About The Position

The Clinical Nurse Educator develops, organizes, and executes the nursing educational plan to ensure staff clinical competence within the nursing scope and standards of practice, organizational expectations, and compliance with Joint Commission regulatory requirements. The Clinical Nurse Educator supports the development of the clinical staff as an educator, consultant, and change agent, empowering staff to achieve excellence in the delivery of evidenced based nursing practice and continuous professional development.

Requirements

  • Current State of Hawaii RN licensure.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Two (2) years current nursing experience in an acute care setting.
  • One (1) year experience in educator role in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, time management and presentation skills.
  • High degree of accuracy, factual dependability and independent thinking.
  • Able to conduct and develop training with a working knowledge of nursing practice, theory and CEU requirements.
  • Ability to safely and effectively manage patients' mobility.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Nurse Educator.
  • Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education, Master's of Nursing Administration, Master's of Business Administration w/emphasis on Healthcare Management, or Master's of Healthcare Administration.
  • Three (3) years nursing experience in an acute care setting.
  • Two (2) years experience as a clinical nurse educator.
  • Simulation Learning/Program Development.
