Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine Care Network, as a Clinical Nurse Educator for Surgical and Medical Subspecialties for Adult and Pediatrics. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area. Local travel will be required. This position is responsible for helping guide clinical practice at all clinics and locations across the system, including onboarding of all clinical staff, continuing education, annual competency, ambulatory quality, regulatory compliance, ambulatory policy/protocol development and review, and supporting any new clinical workflows or new implementations. A Clinical Nurse Educator is a registered nurse (RN) with previous educational experience whose focus is on staff development and nursing education. This nurse is an educator, consultant, role model, staff/patient advocate, change agent, leader and cost-effective professional. In collaboration with nursing leadership, the Clinical Nurse Educator designs, develops, implements, and evaluates a variety of educational offerings in order to improve nursing care and clinical/organizational outcomes. The Clinical Nurse Educator elevates the standard of professional nursing practice at UCM by developing, coaching and mentoring staff to become expert clinicians and leaders.
