UW Medical Center-Northwest – Center for Behavioral Health and Learning has an outstanding opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Educator. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
  • 4 years of clinical nursing experience, including experience in behavioral health
  • Exposure to medical-surgical nursing or a willingness to learn the fundamentals of medical-surgical nursing

Responsibilities

  • Delivers educational services to clinical bedside staff
  • Conducts classes and competency verifications in various settings, including in-services, skills labs, and 1:1 trainings
  • Provides onboarding education for newly-hired staff
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates supplemental clinical training activities
  • Keeps current with evidence-based practice and shares new practices with staff through learning activities, in-services, and information-sharing
  • Addresses individual behaviors that improve workplace efficiency, such as time management and task delegation
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team
  • Promotes a high functioning clinical environment that fosters continued learning and professional development
