About The Position

The RN Clinical Educator is a vital role responsible for providing clinical education, training, and mentorship to nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. This position enhances the skills and knowledge of nursing professionals, promotes evidence-based practice, and ensures high-quality patient care delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required or Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 5+ years of clinical nursing experience with expertise in relevant nursing specialties.
• Experience in nursing education, curriculum development, and program delivery.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and facilitate educational programs and training sessions for nursing staff on various clinical topics and skills.
• Maintain certifications through Oncology accrediting bodies and manage policies utilizing evidence-based practice.
• Assist with research and clinical trial education.
• Provide comprehensive orientation programs for new nursing hires to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery.
• Assess the clinical competence of nursing staff through skill evaluations and competency assessments.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to develop and update educational materials and curricula.
• Mentor and guide nursing staff in their professional growth and career development.
• Teach and reinforce clinical skills such as IV therapy, wound care, and medication administration.
• Promote evidence-based practice among nursing staff and encourage application of the latest research in patient care.
• Stay current with advances in nursing practice and technology to ensure high-quality care delivery.
• Collaborate with clinical departments to integrate educational initiatives with clinical practice.
• Maintain accurate records of educational programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
