About The Position

Seeking Clinical Nurse Coordinator! Baptist Health Floyd, Cardiovascular ICU Full-time (40 Hours Weekly), Days (8-hour shifts) Benefit Eligible Job Duties: In this role, the Nurse Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance to the department Nurse Manager in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating nursing services of the unit. Collaborates with Quality Manager to support quality initiatives and performance improvement activities. About the Unit: The Cardiovascular Care Unit (CVCU) of Baptist Health Floyd specializes in the care of open-heart surgery patients. CVCU is a modern unit providing expert cardiac care with an innovative model of care called the universal bed concept. The team leverages their clinical expertise to care for these cardiac patients on all levels from pre-operative teaching to open-heart recovery, to cardiac ICU care, and to discharge teaching. While cardiac surgery patients are the primary focus, the CVCU team also cares for general ICU patients, complex cardiology patients, patients requiring cardiac devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impellas, and patients requiring cooling after cardiac arrest. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved nursing program with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
  • ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
  • NIHSS Stroke Certification required (Obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
  • At least one (1) year of nursing experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Charge Nurse or Supervisor preferred.
  • Quality Improvement/Data Analysis experience preferred.
