About The Position

The Clinical Coordinator position at Evanston Hospital is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, with shifts of 8 and 12 hours (0700-1530, 0700-1930, 1500-2330) and rotating weekends. The role involves managing day-to-day clinical operations and unit workflow, ensuring high-quality patient care, and guiding a team of caregivers. The Clinical Coordinator will also be responsible for direct patient care when necessary and will contribute to safety outcomes and patient experience.

Requirements

  • Current professional Nursing Licensure in the state of IL required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an appropriate clinical setting required.
  • Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day clinical operations and unit workflow/throughput.
  • Assume direct patient care if necessary.
  • Be accountable for the outcomes of care for patients in specific clinical care areas.
  • Guide and direct a team of caregivers in providing high-quality, individualized care to patients and families.
  • Prepare patients and families for discharge.
  • Guide staff development by teaching, mentoring, and counseling new and experienced staff on clinical and customer loyalty skills.
  • Take lead on clinical performance management.
