About The Position

This position is for experienced nurses interested in training to transition to the NICU. Positions will start September 10, 2025. The role involves providing direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families, utilizing systematic planning and effective communication with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care. The nurse will demonstrate clinical judgment, decision-making, and leadership while managing multiple patient needs and ensuring safe, therapeutic, and efficient care for patients with complex needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of nursing school.
  • 1 Year clinical experience.
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing - REQUIRED.
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Certificate required by the time of interview.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families.
  • Utilize systematic planning and timely exchange of information with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple patient needs and aspects of care.
  • Communicate effectively with the care team to plan patient care.
  • Utilize available resources to problem-solve and determine effective approaches.
  • Implement safe, therapeutic, and efficient care for patients with complex needs.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Coordinate transfer and discharge planning and teaching.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Delegate and assign tasks to team members appropriately.
