About The Position

The Clinical Nurse-Ambulatory Quality Coordinator develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates ongoing quality improvement activities for assigned populations. They work independently, lead specific work groups, and perform thorough analysis of gaps in clinical care and barriers to care, aligning interventions with the organization's strategic plan. This role facilitates the organization's performance improvement processes in collaboration with project team leaders and provides training and education to staff and physicians in performance improvement methodologies, data analysis, work simplification techniques, and related subjects. ________________________________________ Position Overview: The Clinical Nurse-Ambulatory Quality Coordinator is a member of the IU Health Medical Group's statewide quality department. Position supports IU Health Medical Group Specialty Care practices with quality initiatives, metrics support, and data reporting. Position requires the ability to train providers and clinical support team members on quality tools, quality metric specifications, and workflows to support closing gaps in care. Requires knowledge of quality reporting tools, use of dashboards, and routine reporting of performance to practices, regional leaders, and statewide executives. Requires ongoing collaboration with practices and outreach coordinators to provide updates, share patient lists, and oversee outreach efforts to close gaps in care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Additional advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department policies.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in report writing, data analysis, and graphical display of information preferred.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications and data management tools preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in clinical healthcare or business preferred.
  • Ambulatory Quality experience preferred
  • Ambulatory clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate continuous quality improvement activities for designated populations.
  • Analyze clinical care gaps and barriers, recommending and facilitating appropriate interventions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead performance improvement projects and facilitate the organization's performance improvement process.
  • Conduct training and education programs for staff and physicians on performance improvement methodologies, data analysis, and work simplification.
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement improvement strategies and monitor outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and ongoing professional development.
