About The Position

The Clinical Administrator serves as an administrative resource and performs management functions on the non-business hours (evenings, nights, holidays and weekends) for the institution. The Clinical Administrator assists hospital staff in problem-solving service delivery issues between and within departments. Clinical Administrator provides an administrative presence to address patient/family issues related to service delivery. The Clinical Administrator also identifies systems problems during non-business hours (i.e. on the off-shifts and weekends) that contribute to service delivery issues. Assists staff in problem-solving related to the medical and/or nursing care of patients. Coordinates bed assignments and problem-solves barriers related to throughput or patient disposition. The Clinical Administrator may, at times, perform direct patient care appropriate to their level of knowledge, skill and training.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia
  • AHA, BLS, HCP Certification or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of acute care clinical experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing management experience
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of acute care clinical experience
  • Nurse Manager or Supervisory experience
  • Masters Degree in Nursing or other related field from an accredited program
