About The Position

Assist the Director of Service in managing the clinical, financial, and administrative operations of the Restoration Center during evening and overnight hours. Supervision of staff and contact with persons served throughout the Center and other community partners. Ensure proper standards and regulations are adhered to as set forth by the funding sources. Ensure programs meet the quality standards and provide value to persons served and funding sources. This will be for a 4 to 11PM shift and will include on-call responsibilities rotating with other management staff

  • Three to five years’ experience in progressively responsible human services functions.
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related, field required.
  • Driving is a requirement for this position using either a Vinfen van or personal vehicle.
  • - If using a personal vehicle, you must possess and maintain adequate insurance as well as maintain a safe driving record which is subject to annual checks. A valid driver's license must be presented at the time of employment. Incumbents must be at least 21 years of age, have maintained a valid US driver's license for at least one year, and must be able to pass a driver's screening background check.
  • Administrative/Direct Care Roles - Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb as this is a very physically active position. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or the use of a two-person lift. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer. Ability to sit, reach, climb stairs, and maneuver through narrow spaces or hallways. Ability to assist clients with tasks of daily living. Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time as needed. Ability to bend, reach, file, sit, stand, and move around the facility. Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. For positions in day programs or group residences, the ability to assist in routine living activities including cleaning, meal preparation, vacuuming, shoveling, and grocery shopping.
  • CPR within 2 weeks of hire

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages the activities of the program staff. This includes involvement in scheduling, training, and evaluating staff. Conduct regular staff meetings for overnight staff. Ensures staff is trained on all necessary plans, procedures, and practices.
  • Directs implementation plans for meeting program goals and objectives.
  • Assists in the supervision of direct care program staff. Provides conflict resolution for staff, as necessary. Provides staff with new and updated policies, directives, and program systems.
  • Assists in implementation of clinical policies, procedures, training, and compliance for staff.
  • Monitors the quality and timely completion of all CSPs. Conducts intakes and initial assessments as required for the program.
  • Provides on-site consultation to Directors and Managers on the daily operations and supervision of the site and staff, as needed. Assists in completing comprehensive assessments for persons served, as needed.
  • Assists in identifying best practices and the program in creatively planning for the use of team resources to maximize the benefits of services to the person served.
  • Responsible for staff orientation, as needed.
  • Assists Director of Service in scheduling of staff, including on-call scheduling.
  • Assists Director of Service in purchasing for Restoration Center.
  • Ensures program compliance with all internal quality, external licensing requirements as applicable, certification and accreditation organization standards, regulations as well as program specific policies and procedures.
  • Provides supervision and direction to program staff regarding habilitative/rehabilitative strategies, techniques, and interventions. Assists staff in developing and implementing effective strategies for persons served.
  • May participate in Vinfen and/or funding agency committees, as requested. Attends other Vinfen and funding agency meetings, as requested.
  • Participates in various internal and external meetings regarding intervention plans for persons served.
  • Performs various human resource management duties including paperwork submission, staff development, certification records maintenance, workers’ compensation claims, timesheet submission, and other related functions.
  • Reviews Incident Reports for accuracy and corrective action. Assures corrective action plans are implemented and reported.
  • Provides trainings, as needed.
  • Provides crisis intervention, as needed.
  • Stay up to date on human services issues and trends such as techniques and tools available.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.
