About The Position

Responsible to provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention. Provides clinical, consultation and community education services. Some travel may be required.

  • Doctorate (PHD) or Psy D in Psychology
  • Psychologist - Licensing Board An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
  • 2 year post-doctorate training and/or equivalent experience in Clinical Neuropsycholgy

  • Lifespan (children through geriatric) experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment or referral of clients/patients.
  • Adhere to policies, which assure the confidentiality of client communications.
  • Assists in a multi-disciplinary, holistic approach to the treatment of clients as requested, coordinating with appropriate hospital departments.
  • Conducts neuropsychological testing for clients in accordance with accepted principles of the State Board of Examiners of Psychologists and the American Psychological Association.
  • Assesses progress of clients/patients and modify or extend treatment program accordingly.
  • Coordinates care of clients/patients with referring physician or agency.
  • Documents assessments, testing, and therapy in accordance with hospital policies and procedures on medical records.
  • Communicates with family members/significant others in order to further the effectiveness of client/patient treatment and progress.
  • Provides educational programs on a variety of psychological/neuropsychological topics to hospital/community groups as requested.
  • Administers and interprets neuropsychological assessments, testing instruments, and outcomes.
  • Provides consultation and neuropsychological assessments for Medical Specialty groups/departments in the hospital.
  • Provides clinical supervision and training to psychometrists/technicians
  • Supervises interns and students and openly communicate with universities/colleges to ensure a quality experience.
  • Assist with staff/student on the job training/orientation.
  • Maintains accurate and concise records by documenting promptly all groups and pertinent data.
  • Maintains productive use of time.
  • Assists with the analysis, collection of data for Performance Improvement as directed.
