Clinical Microbiology Fellow
About The Position
A clinical microbiology fellowship position is available in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The candidate will join a two-year Committee on Postdoctoral Educational Programs ( CPEP ) approved training program that provides hands on experience in the basic disciplines of clinical microbiology. Administrative experience through participation in management and committee interaction is also a part of the training program. Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree in clinical microbiology, microbiology or related discipline. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working within a diagnostic laboratory setting and a strong desire to pursue future activities as it pertains to public health and microbiology.
