The Clinical Medical Office Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is located at Wyandot Medical Providers at Forest and is a full-time role working approximately 72 hours per two-week pay period. This role may be filled by a Clinical Medical Office Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse and supports the daily operations of the practice by performing a combination of clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality patient care. The position works closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to provide coordinated, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include patient intake, assisting with exam preparation, performing routine clinical procedures, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting general office operations while maintaining professionalism and strong communication in an outpatient environment. Standard working hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Thursday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This position does not require weekend rotation or holiday responsibility. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent required. Physician office experience preferred for Clinical Medical Office Assistant or Medical Assistant applicants. Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio required for LPN applicants. BLS certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment. Knowledge of infection prevention principles. Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional interpersonal abilities. Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding, Windows navigation, email, and EMR use. Ability to operate standard office equipment (fax, scanner, copier, telephone). Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology preferred. Ability to prioritize tasks, make decisions based on urgency, and work independently. Demonstrated initiative, dependability, and commitment to teamwork. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care under the direction of licensed providers. Perform clinical tasks such as obtaining medical histories, recording vital signs, preparing exam rooms, collecting laboratory specimens, and assisting with diagnostic and treatment procedures. Perform clerical functions including greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and completing daily computer entry tasks. Obtain pre-certifications and ensure timely and accurate documentation in the EMR. Support patient flow and coordinate care with providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments. Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards. Maintain a safe and clean work environment following all safety and infection control guidelines.
