About The Position

The HH Clinical Manager is responsible for development, implementation and monitoring of clinical protocols, activities, programs, policies and standards to assure compliance with regulatory, licensing and certification requirements for the home health program. Orientation of new staff, performance improvement, continuing education and ongoing training of all staff fall within the purview of this position. Functions as the Director of Nursing for the agency as defined in F.A.C. Chapter 59A-8. Functions as the alternate administrator in the absence of the Administrative Director.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in nursing or other healthcare related field.
  • 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in Medicare Certified Home care.
  • Registered Nurse State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in Florida.
  • Valid in state Drivers License with current car insurance.
  • Active American Heart Association BLS.

Nice To Haves

  • Home health experience within the past 3 years and current knowledge of homecare requirements and OASIS assessment.
  • Bachelors degree in nursing or other healthcare related field.
  • Oasis and Home Care Coding Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively plan, coordinate, manage and direct all clinical activities and programs for home health in accordance with regulatory guidelines and professional standards.
  • Provide direction in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
  • Maintain and interpret operational indicators to detect census/volume changes that can impact staffing needs, productivity, revenue and expenses; quality indicators, patient satisfaction, clinical and financial scorecards.
  • Improve outcomes through planned and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality patient care is delivered in a cost effective manner.
  • Oversee the delivery of care, ensuring patients meet established criteria to initiate and discontinue homecare services.
  • Assure that adequate qualified staff are available to meet the needs of the agency.
