About The Position

The Surgery Clinical Manager at Crestwood Medical Center is responsible for overseeing the Surgery and Central Sterile departments, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. This role involves leadership, planning, and coordination of unit activities, as well as providing support and guidance to nursing staff. The Clinical Manager is accountable for the performance and development of the team, fostering a collaborative and compassionate care environment.

Requirements

• BS or master's degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum five years clinical experience in area of specialty or related clinical field.
• RN licensure in the state of Alabama.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in quality improvement.
• Self-directed with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Surgery and Central Sterile departments and their staff.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, implement, and evaluate unit activities.
• Provide direction, support, and guidance to charge nurses and Clinical Coordinators.
• Aid in the clinical and managerial development of nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with quality improvement standards and practices.
• Maintain twenty-four hour accountability for the unit.
