We are seeking a Clinical Manager – School-Based (Warren Township) to lead and support our school-based behavioral health program; an ideal opportunity for a licensed clinical leader who is passionate about child and adolescent mental health, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is driven to expand access to care within school communities. The Clinical Manager – School-Based is responsible for the clinical and operational oversight of behavioral health providers across assigned school sites, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based mental health and life skills services. This role serves as a key liaison between clinical teams, school leadership, and community partners; balancing direct supervision, program development, compliance oversight, and staff support to ensure effective and sustainable service delivery. Flexibility is required to support coverage across school sites and districts as needed.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • Current, unrestricted independent clinical licensure in Indiana (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist/HSPP)
  • 3–5 years of post-licensure clinical experience
  • Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices
  • Ability to manage crisis situations and lead clinical decision-making
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory or clinical leadership experience
  • Experience working in school-based or child and adolescent behavioral health settings
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, IDEA requirements, and school systems
  • CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for clinical staff across school sites
  • Partner with leadership to support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development
  • Oversee caseload distribution to ensure appropriate ratios and equitable workloads
  • Develop and manage coverage plans to maintain continuity of services across sites
  • Facilitate team meetings and clinical staffings to drive alignment and performance
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable culture that supports engagement and retention
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, trauma-informed care across school settings
  • Provide clinical supervision to clinicians pursuing independent licensure, including documentation review and approval
  • Guide staff in managing complex cases involving trauma, crisis, and behavioral health needs
  • Promote culturally responsive care aligned with best practices
  • Serve as a clinical lead for complex crisis situations across school sites
  • Develop and implement crisis response protocols in collaboration with school and safety teams
  • Coordinate with external providers and community agencies for escalated care needs
  • Monitor program performance, including student outcomes, service utilization, and goal attainment
  • Identify gaps and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensure, and organizational standards
  • Lead quality initiatives aligned with program and organizational goals
  • Serve as a primary liaison to school and district leadership
  • Support integration of behavioral health services within IEP processes and school systems
  • Participate in or delegate participation in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and manifestation reviews
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations and mental health providers
  • Represent the program in district-level committees related to student wellness and school climate
  • Lead training and professional development initiatives for clinical staff
  • Identify skill gaps and implement targeted development plans to strengthen team effectiveness
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant documentation practices across the team
  • Monitor adherence to HIPAA, state regulations, and organizational policies
  • Ensure compliance with mandated reporting requirements
