The Clinical Manager School-Based (Warren Township) is a licensed mental health professional responsible for the clinical and operational oversight of school district-wide providers. This leader ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based mental health and life skills services to patients. The Clinical Manager contributes to business development efforts that strengthen and expand school based services while serving as the primary liaison between the clinical team, school administration, district leadership, and community partners. This role balances direct supervisory responsibilities with strategic program development, compliance oversight, and staff development. Providers will have to float between sites and between school districts to cover for other providers when appropriate.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, evidence-based therapeutic modalities, social determinants of health, and the challenges facing underserved and low-income populations
Familiarity with special education law, IEP processes, IDEA requirements, local community resources, and social services systems
Ability to manage crisis situations and follow escalation protocols
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen in accordance with FQHC and regulatory requirements
Valid driver’s license required.
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Clinical Psychology
Current, unrestricted, independent clinical licensure in the state of Indiana (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist/HSPP)
Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in school-based or child and adolescent clinical settings
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have moderate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel) and other applications.
Working knowledge of electronic health records
Proficiency in using technology platforms and data reporting tools

Nice To Haves

CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification preferred
Bilingual or multilingual fluency preferred
Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a clinical environment preferred
Experience working within a public school district preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for assigned clinical staff across school district sites
Partner with the Director of Pediatric BH Services to support hiring, onboarding, and training of providers
Conduct regular performance check-ins, annual evaluations, and corrective action as needed
Assign cases and oversee caseload distribution to ensure appropriate student-to-provider ratios and equitable workloads
Develop and manage coverage plans for staff absences, ensuring continuity of services
Facilitate regular team meetings and staffings to align clinical practices, address challenges, and drive team performance
Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture that promotes staff engagement, retention, and reduced burnout
Provide clinical oversight of services delivered across school sites to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices
Deliver clinical supervision to early-career clinicians working toward independent licensure, including review and approval of clinical documentation as required
Ensure clinical interventions are culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and aligned with evidence-based practices
Guide staff in managing complex cases including trauma, crisis, safety risk, and significant behavioral or developmental needs
Serve as the clinical lead for complex crisis situations across school sites, providing consultation and direct intervention
Develop, implement, and oversee district-wide crisis response protocols in collaboration with school leadership and safety teams
Coordinate with external crisis services, psychiatric providers, and community mental health agencies when escalation of care is required
Oversee implementation and ongoing evaluation of the school-based behavioral health program to ensure effectiveness and alignment with district and organizational goals
Monitor program performance through data analysis, including student outcomes, service utilization, and goal attainment
Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency
Monitor and analyze program data to identify performance trends, develop improvement strategies, and lead quality initiatives to achieve targeted outcomes
Serve as a key liaison to district and school leadership to ensure alignment, communication, and integration of services
Oversee integration of behavioral health services within IEP processes in collaboration with school partners
Participate in or delegate participation in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and manifestation reviews as appropriate
Build and maintain strategic relationships with community mental health agencies and partners to support continuity of care
Represent the program on district-level committees related to crisis response, student wellness, equity, and school climate
Lead development and delivery of ongoing training and professional development for clinical staff
Identify skill gaps and implement targeted development plans to enhance team effectiveness
Ensure staff compliance with documentation standards, including HIPAA and state licensure requirements
Monitor adherence to regulatory and organizational policies and address gaps promptly
Apply and ensure staff adherence to mandated reporting requirements for both adults and children
