About The Position

Surgery Center West, Stillwater Medical's ambulatory surgery center, is expanding. We are looking for a Registered Nurse RN to join our team as a Clinical Manager. JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Manager is responsible for the operational management of his/her designated unit. Implicit in this statement is indicated responsibility for the supervision, direction, and support of all staff on that unit. Demonstrates leadership ability and serves as a role model for clinical practice.

Requirements

  • Satisfactory work experience, demonstrating nursing knowledge and skill, interest, leadership, and willingness to accept responsibility.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in area of nursing supervision.
  • Lives within 20 minutes of hospital and able to cover call schedule in staffing emergencies.
  • Current CPR card or completion within 30 days of employment.
  • Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.
  • Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials.
  • Demonstrates adequate vision to prepare and process information, supervise practice of employees, and monitor the environment.
  • Must be able to talk and hear to converse with others, in person and over the telephone.
  • Demonstrates adequate stamina to deal with stressful situations and to complete necessary work schedule.
  • Must be able to triage multiple tasks/events; prioritize and make decisions quickly under stressful situations with accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Operating/Surgical experience
  • One year's management experience.
  • BSN or CNOR.
  • Current ACLS certification or completion within 1 year of employment preferred.
  • Current PALS certification or completion within 1 year of employment preferred.
