If you are interested in providing care in your local community, come join our team! The Clinical Manager oversees the daily clinical and administrative operations of designated unit(s). The Clinical Manager prepares staff schedules, requests, and allocates resources and ensures that patient care is aligned with the goals, mission, and vision of Tufts Medicine.

Requirements

Massachusetts RN Licensure.
5 Years of RN Experience with at least 1 year as a charge/lead RN.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).

Responsibilities

Uses knowledge and expertise to identify potential problems and/or resources for patients and families.
In collaboration with the director, ensures all staff maintains competency-based practice based upon patient population.
Participates in nursing research.
Identifies avenues to pursue own professional growth.
Keeps current on regulatory issues and trends and employs strategies to meet standards in a proactive manner.
Supervises staff by evaluating work performance, providing guidance, and timely feedback based on outcome measures.
Participates in interdisciplinary rounds to address, patient/family needs, and discharge planning.
Recognizes, responds, and provides follow-up on issues, concerns, and suggestions on behalf of the patient population and staff.
Allocates resources and coordinates services to optimize patient care and services.
Develops and monitors operating and capital budget; implements strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Performs performance reviews with staff.
Participates in staff interview process, provides direction and discipline to staff as appropriate, and orients new staff to facility.
Creates and fosters a learning environment that facilities the professional growth and development of staff.
Develops and implements processes to enhance operations and practices for ongoing quality improvement.
Develops, implements, and monitors written policies and procedures.
Leads and/or participates in hospital, departmental and multidisciplinary teams, committees, councils and special projects.
Plans, implements, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care in accordance with standards of practice.
