About The Position

The Clinical Manager provides leadership, direction, in accordance with organizational and departmental standards, procedures and goals; actively participates in the hospital PI process. Assesses, plans, implement and evaluates delivery of nursing care and sets nursing standards for patient care. Assesses professional growth of employees. Identifies needs and develops provisions to meet educational goals, utilizing internal and external educational resources. Hires, counsels, and evaluates the performance of associates. Develops yearly goals and objectives in collaboration with employees, and physicians. Assist with preparing unit budget and assigned functions are in compliance with all applicable local, state, federal and accrediting agency regulations. Initiates corrective actions as necessary. Monitors budget for areas of responsibility. Interviews and selects new employees in collaboration with Acute Care Director. Responsible for the direction and evaluation, including discipline of assigned employee. Works with assigned employee to establish policies and procedures, goals and objectives of the department. Approves and resolves related problems. Attends meetings and committees as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Nursing (BSN) required.
  • 2 years of experience in a Charge position required.
  • 4 years of progressive nursing experience required.
  • ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required.
  • Current Clinical Managers who do not hold BSN must obtain by December 31, 2019.
  • Education in nursing management preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • PCCN, CMSRN, Board Certification preferred.
