About The Position

The Clinical Manager is responsible for the overall supervision of clinical services and individual supervision at the Peer Support House, which provides on-going crisis residential services to individuals who are involved with the criminal justice system and who without additional support are at risk of experiencing a mental health crisis following release from incarceration or forensic hospitalization. The Clinical Manager will provide direct supervision of the Site Supervisor, Office Manager, and Nurse.

Requirements

  • Have a working knowledge of corporate and program policies and procedures
  • Good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects
  • Demonstrate good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • A certificate of licensed social worker from PA State Board of Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapist & Professional Counselors is required.
  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Basic working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Ability to carry out duties without direct supervision
  • Subject to employment screenings, including PA State Criminal History & FBI clearance, if applicable
  • At least four (4) years of direct care, mental health and work experience.
  • A master’s degree from an accredited university in a discipline, such as: Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the field of forensics is preferred.
  • Peer Specialist Supervisor’s Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall clinical coursework, such as clinical interventions, PIR follow-ups, and coordination of clinical services
  • Oversee and coordinate all in-house clinical services including individual and group therapy.
  • Oversee PIR assessment and evaluation process, as well as ensuring the completion and accuracy of clinical documentation
  • Perform case consultation with others professional, external, and internal to gather a better perspective around participant’s quality of care, progress, and service integrity
  • Continuously assess effectiveness of treatment interventions
  • Audit progress notes
  • Oversee the data entry of notes and other documentation required by CBH and RHD into required database systems; RHD Electronic Health Record (EHR) Responsible for primary communication and coordination of services with the Nurse and Psychiatrist
  • Participate in the program referral process including conducting initial assessment of PIRs while incarcerated or hospitalized
  • Coordinate with program leadership team on coverage issues and anticipate crisis
  • Participate in team meetings and evidence base practice
  • Demonstrated ability to provide affirming, respectful, and culturally competent care to LGBTQ+ and transgender individuals.
  • Understanding of gender identity, gender expression, pronoun use, and the unique treatment considerations for transgender clients in substance use services.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches specific to LGBTQ+ and transgender communities, including minority stress, discrimination, and barriers to care.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and support client safety, especially around sensitive identity-related information.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and commitment to upholding an inclusive, nonjudgmental, and equitable treatment environment.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training related to LGBTQ+ and transgender cultural competency and best clinical practices.
