About The Position

The Clinical Manager - Admissions is an adventurous, creative, confident and inspiring leader of a high performing Admission Team. The Clinical Manager – Admissions will provide daily direct leadership, guidance, and inspiration for Admission RNs and professionals.

Requirements

• At least 5 years RN nursing experience in medical/surgical, acute care, ICU, ER, oncology, home health or hospice.
• A minimum of 3 years hospice nursing experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed RN in at least one of the following: District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Driver's license in good standing and access to a vehicle during working hours.

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direct leadership, guidance, and inspiration for Admission RNs and professionals.
• Ensure admission visit goals are met.
• Track daily admission visit outcomes and monitor individual and department performance through quality measures and conversion metrics.
• Work with the Admission Director on process improvements, team assessments and ongoing education/training program.
• Facilitate smooth transitions for all potential patients through all potential service lines.
• Collaborate with supportive service departments to ensure Admission Team RNs are utilizing all potential resources including IPU placement or Crisis Care for new patients.
• Collaborate with all needed clinical departments to ensure specified admission visit needs are met.
• Drive the use of technology in the admissions communication process to enhance the admission experience.
