About The Position

The Clinical Liaison serves as the primary marketing and referral development representative for Nexus Children’s Hospital – Dallas. This role is responsible for building strong community partnerships, driving referral growth, conducting clinical assessments for potential admissions, and acting as the liaison between hospital leadership, referral sources, patients, families, and payors. The Clinical Liaison blends clinical expertise with relationship development and strategic outreach to support census growth, service line expansion, and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year in a related healthcare field with at least two years of clinical experience
  • Background in case management, rehabilitation nursing, or referral development required
  • At least two years of healthcare marketing and referral development experience required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quarterly marketing and sales plans aligned with census and growth goals
  • Conduct regular sales calls to current and prospective referral sources and document activity in CRM
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships to generate repeat referral opportunities
  • Perform competitive analysis of regional healthcare facilities and referral trends
  • Conduct facility tours, presentations, and community outreach events
  • Attend conferences, seminars, and marketing education events to promote hospital services
  • Perform clinical assessments to determine appropriateness of potential admissions
  • Maintain working knowledge of admission criteria and payor requirements
  • Collaborate closely with facility leadership, nursing, clinical, and case management teams to coordinate referrals and evaluations
  • Assist with managed care coordination and contract discussions when requested
  • Develop annual and 90-day sales strategies based on census needs, payor mix, and patient mix
  • Provide timely input into marketing budgets and outreach planning
  • Monitor referral performance, market trends, and growth opportunities
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to leadership regularly
  • Coordinate and promote Continuing Education (CEU) programs for referral partners
  • Collaborate with Nexus marketing representatives on integrated education initiatives
  • Support nursing education initiatives as needed
  • Maintain adherence to TNA and ANCC COA continuing education criteria and processes
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation, reports, calendars, and expense submissions
  • Track physician non-monetary items for compliance reporting
  • Demonstrate knowledge of licensing regulations and third-party payor processes
  • Ensure adherence to Nexus policies, compliance standards, and cost-effective practices
