About The Position

The position involves conducting patient assessments to identify appropriate patients for potential admission into the ScionHealth system. The role requires daily follow-up with patients and their decision-makers for consistent clinical reassessment. The individual will manage referrals and admissions generated through assigned hospitals and territories, representing ScionHealth with professionalism and maintaining positive relationships with accounts. The position also includes designing and managing marketing strategies for assigned accounts, identifying new referral sources, and conducting educational meetings with referral sources. The role requires performing 80% or more of work outside the home, with an expectation of being on-site at respective accounts daily.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in marketing, communication, healthcare administration, nursing, or related field.
  • Extensive healthcare sales work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum two years of former healthcare sales experience and/or clinical healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Formal sales training preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers related to LTACH benefits.
  • Demonstrated competence in strategic business planning and marketing initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical license preferred; Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN), or Respiratory Therapist (RT).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments to identify appropriate patients for potential admission.
  • Daily follow-up with patients and decision-makers for clinical reassessment.
  • Manage referrals and admissions generated through assigned hospitals and territories.
  • Represent ScionHealth and maintain positive relationships with accounts.
  • Design and manage marketing strategies for assigned accounts.
  • Identify and contact new referral sources to grow territory.
  • Conduct in-person educational meetings with referral sources.
  • Coordinate transmission of clinical and benefit information between patients and referral sources.
  • Generate leads through prospecting methods and educational presentations.
  • Meet monthly goals for assigned hospitals.
  • Expand the number of referral sources in assigned territories.
  • Maintain current referral sources through relationship development.
  • Manage the admissions process for eligible patients.
  • Conduct assessments in accordance with company standards.
  • Educate patients and families on the benefits of ScionHealth Hospitals.
  • Adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.
  • Complete annual health, safety, and education requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles.
  • Attend mandatory in-services and staff meetings.
  • Represent the organization positively and professionally.
