About The Position

Regency Hospital of Minneapolis Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH) is seeking a Clinical Liaison (RN / RRT) for a full-time position. This role involves caring for chronically and critically ill or post-ICU patients who require extended hospital care. The Clinical Liaison serves as an advocate for patients during the pre-admission process, working under the general direction of the Director of Business Development. The position requires collaboration with clinical teams to evaluate patients' statuses and medical needs, and to develop relationships with healthcare professionals. The focus is on helping hospitals identify post-ICU patients who can benefit from specialized care, emphasizing mobility, nutrition, and overall health recovery. This salaried position operates Monday through Friday with periodic on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License.
• Other Educational and Clinical designation with approval of Vice President, Business & Market Development or designee.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an advocate for patients during the pre-admission process.
• Evaluate current and potential patients' statuses and medical needs.
• Develop relationships with healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
• Perform clinical assessments of referred patients.
• Counsel patients' families to assist in care decisions.
• Partner with hospital case managers to facilitate patient transfers.
• Help remove payer-related and operational barriers to patient admission.
